David Weguelin - The Home Plumber
As a qualified plumber with 34 years experience specialising in the installation of bespoke bathrooms for the discerning residential market, I have frequently been asked by my clients if I have ever considered passing on my skills and experience to home improving enthusiasts. Consequently, I have now developed a one day course for the home improver who wishes to experience the satisfaction of completing their own basic plumbing projects.
Details of the plumbing course for the home improver is outlined below. I will show you how to achieve the level of expertise required to complete a truly well executed plumbing installation. My one-day course is run between October and March and is held at The Woodhall Institute of Craftsmanship near Guildford, Surrey where I am able to give one-to-one instruction for up to six attendees at a time
The course covers in detail…
>How to identify your existing system and the location of isolating valves,
How to safely disconnect the existing plumbing,
How to complete copper and plastic pipe connections,
How to complete waste and soil pipe connections,
How to install a basic bathroom, shower and toilet,
How to install kitchen sinks and appliances,
How to safely disconnect and refit a radiator.
The course is based around the correct use and application of all the essential plumbing tools in The Home Plumber's Toolkit, which I have chosen from the Faithfull range for their quality and price. The cost of the Toolkit depicted in the picture is £85 plus VAT.
